On September 10, 2020, the 2020 list of China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises was released, with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. ranked 181st with operating revenue of 4.5788 billion yuan.
In July 2021, CATL officially launched its sodium-ion battery.
